Next Meeting: Thursday: June 15th: 7:30 at the Knights of Columbus in Neptune. This is the last meeting to finalize the Grands. We need as many members as possibly so we can walk through the entire week. Please plan to attend.

Dear Garden State Members:
This is the month that we have been prepared for the last 2 years. Only 100% participation and dedication will make this work. Please, please, please do your job in helping out for this weeklong race. Continue the hard work and dedication and it will all pay off. Thank you so much to all of you who have been dedicating so much time to the club. The extra help you have given is very much appreciated.

Congratulations to all who went to a States Race. You should all be very proud of your representation to GSQMRC.

Meeting information:  June 7th: 7pm at  Jill’s house: Paperwork to get ready for the Grands.
     June 11th: 8-11: Work Detail at the track…then a regular race to follow. Anyone who wants to       race that day MUST help with the work detail.                       June 15th: Monthly Meeting: 7:30 at the Staybridge Suites in Tinton Falls
 
Committee Information: Please remember that every club member is part of a committee. Do your part to help. The week of the Grands we will need extra help in all area. Non-members welcome! 

Safety News: Please be sure all novices contact the novice director or read the QMA rulebook on line before buying any equipment. All cars must be safety inspected before they are able to race.

The NJ State Law regarding the 2-year seatbelts will be strictly enforced. Your seatbelts must have dates on them and cannot be more than 2 years old. Steel braided fuel line is no longer required in the State of NJ.

Please remember to let your drivers know that in NJ it is not allowed to hang out of the car.  The helmet may not be passed half way of the Jersey Bar, and seat belts need to be tightened..   If you have any questions about this or any other safety issue, please do not hesitate to ask.  It is ultimately your responsibility to make sure that your driver is safe.  

Tech News: Any new novices  or anyone else that bought a motor from someone should have it teched before racing. Anyone who is unsure of whether or not their motor is legal should also have it teched. Please contact Rick Mauriello. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Web-site News: Sebastian Font is the GSQMRC web master.  Please get in touch with him if anyone needs anything posted.

Novice Information: Anyone interested in joining our Summer  novice class should contact our secretary for information. The class will be in July or August.

Please keep in mind that everyone in this club is a volunteer when it comes to working.  We all make mistakes but do our best in everything from scoring to sign in’s to judging, to everything else that takes place at the track.  Let’s try to remember to set a good example for the kids and show our support for one another.
