The State of New Jersey no longer requires steel-braided fuel lines on quarter midget cars. Please don't forget to review the other safety requirements for quarter midget racing in the state of New Jersey.
Please remember to bring wood planks and/or blocks to level your trailers for parking.
Saturday 6/24/06, Novice Day Rain Delay:  The 37 Novices (27 Jr, 10 Sr) got their round of practice and several  heat races in. After two short rain delays, the skies opened up, and they opened up big! Steady and heavy downpours put an end to the day. The Novice event is suspended until tomorrow (Sunday) morning, when a scheduling decision will be made.
Track Fuel: 87 Octane from the Wawa on Route 34N, about 3 miles north of the track.
Sunday 6/25/06, More Rain Delays: The bad weather forced the postponement of the Novice Features, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday morning. The priority is getting the main show in. Today we got through several short rain delays to complete the first round of practice. Unoffically, the car count exceeded 650 today, and we will get the online spreadsheet updated tomorrow at the latest. The second round of practice starts tomorrow, and we are expecting improved weather conditions.
Monday 6/26/06, 2nd round of practice was completed at approximately 3pm. Weather was shaky today, but we had very little rain. Still, it made for a temperamental track condition.
Timing began immediately following practice, and we got Junior Honda, Senior Honda, Heavy Honda, and Senior Stock qualifying completed. Tomorrow's day will start with Junior Stock qualifying.
Friday 6/30/06, A heck of a week. Garden State members have been working hard to keep the Eastern Grands running as smoothly as possible.
Tuesday saw the completion of qualifying, and the lower mains began almost immediately, starting with the Senior Honda M-main. By the end of Thursday night, the last C-main race was run, leaving the B-mains for Friday, and the A-mains for Saturday. The weather was great today, and the same is expected for the A-mains tomorrow.
Saturday 7/01/06, Done!  The A-mains were completed by 8:30pm, and the trophy podium ceremony shortly after that. The Garden State Quarter Midget Racing Club would like to thank all of the Grands participants who traveled near and far to come visit us. Congratulations to our A-main winners and our Fast Time qualifiers! Please come visit us again soon.
Photos from Ace Lane Photography will be posted soon.

From the President of GSQMRC:
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Eastern Grands this past week. Without your faith in our club, it would not have been as successful as it was. Thank you to QMA for sending the best people ever to help run the show! A special thank you to Garden State members and the many other people who helped to move the show along!
Thank you all so much."
